Baildon Community Link is a registered charity operating a community centre that helps to meet local needs by providing space for activities and services for local people including some activities we run ourselves; including social day care, youth provision, parent and toddlers, a community caf\u00e9 and a food bank. It proactively works with groups, residents and services to develop community responses to personal and social needs. It actively values and engages local people, drawing on their expertise and giving them a voice to shape and influence services. The Link works across Baildon, but focuses on individuals and families experiencing isolation and financial hardship and pockets of deprivation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Opening Hours<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Monday – Thursday 10am to 4pm<\/p>\n\n\n\n To provide these services money is needed. The Local Authority is no longer able to provide the level of funds it had in the past so we need support from other sources to maintain our service. One thing we have done is to register our organisation with easyfundraising<\/a>. You can now raise funds for the Link when you shop online using easyfundraising<\/a>. A percentage of each purchase is donated to the Link (at no extra cost to you). You just need to register your details with easyfundraising<\/a> and make your online purchases via the website. Click the \u201cSupport this cause\u201d button underneath on the easyfundraising <\/a>website to register.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Community Development<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n One of the primary drivers for Baildon Community Link is around Community Development. We proactively engage with groups and residents so that we can come together and take action and generate solutions for community issues and improve community wellbeing – economic, social, environmental and cultural.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Baildon Community Link was initially housed in a World War II decontamination building until a new centre was built at the opposite end of the Cliffe Avenue Recreation Ground.
